Anjana an Ayurvedic
Kajal is advised to apply daily to avoid the risk of Kapha dosha. The practice
of Anjana improves eyesight, enhance beauty of eyes and prevents eye diseases. It
can be easily prepared at home with medicinal plants.
Ingredients:
Any one of the fresh plant of Bhringaraja(Eclipta alba), Tulasi(Oscimum sanctum), Sahadevi(Vernonea
cinerea), Lamp
Cotton cloth
Brass plate
Method:
1. Collect fresh plant of any one mentioned above. Wash thoroughly, cut into pieces, crush and extract juice. Filter it.
2. Dip the thin cotton cloth in the juice and dry.
3. Repeat
the 2nd step for 7 times.
4. Role
the cloth into wick and dip in Castor oil.
5. Lit
the lamp with the same wick, close the lamp with brass plate and burn it completely.
6. Once
cooled, Collect the soothe from Brass plate into the air tight container
and store.
Application:
Take
the pinch of Anjana mix it with Ghrita(Ghee) or Eranda taila(Castor oil) and
apply from inner canthus to outer.
Time of application:
Daily
morning before bath.
